On this episode, I talk with Desiree Cavalancia, jewelry designer and goldsmith.
Desiree has been making jewelry since she was 15 years old with her family's encouragement and a very influential art teacher. After moving to Philadelphia in 2011, she received her BFA in Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM from Tyler School of Art followed by a master’s degree from Fox School of Business.
She worked full time at a gemstone dealer on Jewelers’ Row before finally establishing her company in 2016. Désideria Collection is known for creativity and exclusivity; her custom designs combine natural forms with antique jewelry styles to create something totally unique to each client.
She a launched a new men’s line of engagement & lifestyle rings in October. The launch collaborated with Philadelphia lifestyle influencers Alex & Mike and includes 8 men’s lifestyle rings and 8 men’s engagement rings.
We also have a permanent display & private shopping experience inside Fox & Holly in Peddler's Village. You'll be able to try a lot of our designs in person and make appointments for custom designs.
She is a trailblazer, brilliant, and intuitive, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share her story and mission.
In this episode, we talk about...
• her love of jewelry design and starting her jewelry company
• realizing who you are and who you want to be
• being comfortable in your own skin and learning to love yourself
• healing after a car accident while navigating the uncertain of going out on your own
• dropping perfectionism and believing you are enough
